Buster and Tiny

Once upon a time in a quiet neighborhood, there were two very different dogs. Buster, a massive Saint Bernard who took up more space than a small sofa, had a heart as big as his paws. And then there was Tiny, a Chihuahua who barely reached Buster’s ankles but thought he was king of the world.

Every morning, Tiny would strut past Buster's house and bark furiously as if he were warning a whole pack of wolves, even though Buster was the only one around. Buster, ever the gentle giant, would just look down at Tiny with a confused smile, as if to say, "Why are you yelling, little friend?"

One day, Tiny came up with a brilliant plan to show Buster who was boss. He dragged a piece of his owner’s steak out to the yard, hoping to lure Buster close and assert his dominance. But when Buster saw the steak, he didn’t take the bait; instead, he trotted over and gently sniffed Tiny’s face, thinking the little guy was offering him a snack as a gift! Then, Buster laid down, with his huge head right next to Tiny, and gave a big, slobbery lick of thanks.

Tiny froze, the sheer power of the lick making him stumble back a bit. This was not going as he had planned! But just when he thought he’d lost his dignity forever, he noticed something surprising: the neighbors were watching and laughing, clearly amused by this unlikely friendship. Realizing he had an audience, Tiny puffed up his chest, strutted in front of Buster,

and acted like this was all part of his plan.

From that day on, Tiny and Buster became the neighborhood’s oddest yet most beloved duo. They went on walks together, Tiny prancing alongside Buster, barking his warnings to everyone they passed, while Buster simply plodded along, looking around as if he were Tiny's bodyguard.

And who knows? Maybe he was.
